If you couldn't go to the post sessions, they said they had videos of the post sessions to take and a binder to do the activities.

Ask the local couple for the work in advance and you should be able to get it (I think...) Maybe they don't have the videos in every city, but between the two cities you'll hopefully get them, TBL.

Mountaintop,

That's the first I've heard of videos, too. It might just be your group, or maybe Canada that has them. It's a good idea, though.

If you can't get the videos, let me know and I'll ask our presenting couple if they can shoot a copy to your presenting couple for you to get.

Mountaintop,

I will and ask on that locally and get back to you if I need those videos. I will continue to pray for the people on these boards and for you also that you end up where God wants/needs you to be for yourself, W and family.

The progress with my W is mind blowing. I feel so full of life and energy that I feel guilty. Can life really be this great when I see and read others feeling so awful?

I was there at the bottom full of despair. With help I started to become stronger and more self sufficient. Certainly with peaks and valleys (what I like to call good days and bad ones) I became un-pathetic (?) and moved on to being a good human and good father.

When it works out fully with my wife, as I know it will, I will try to get her in the long run to come with me (who knows she may be first to ask me to do this) and help with Retrouvaille in some manner, maybe that's my/our ministry.

To anyone reading this, I cannot explain how valuable this program and experience is to marriage, any marriage. Beg, borrow and steal (jk) to get your spouse to this program.

My heart goes out to the suffering people here but I sit here with overwhelming joy in my life.

TBL,

Putting together a Retrouvaille workshop for 30 couples involves a lot of effort on the part of a lot of people. It is wonderful that you want to help. I'm sure your local group will be thrilled to have you. My H and I have been volunteering with our local group for the past 2 years. We are greeters when the couples come in on friday night and we shop for the notebooks and pens, and create the folders of information that everyone receives. It is rewarding to be part of Retrouvaille, if only to smile at the couples when they come in and reassure them that everything will be alright. They did the right thing by coming.

Moutaintop,

First two weeks post RV were great, spectacular. Still going strong on the dialogue, haven't missed a day yet. Some easy ones, some difficult.

Lots of stress on her biz wise and some other things but basically going very well.

Glad to hear things are going well TBL. Things really can change, can't they? Keep dong the homework and the dialogues. Every one brings you a little bit closer to your goal!

Wow - that's awesome TBL!

The difficult ones seem to be the ones that help the most for me, but I'm having problems getting W to do them consistently. Still, when we do them it is great for helping me understand and accept.

Lotus (and others, of course) - please help me - just found out that DH is having a PA - we're scheduled to do Retrouvaille on 4/16. I want to expose the PA to OWH and friends (he introduced her to them) - but don't know what to do. The second thread below is about my discovery last night... I need expert advice on whether I expose before or after Retrouvaille. I know they say no third parties, but I have to believe some people lie about that, right? I'm so afraid if I expose it, he will not go and I'm looking at this as one of our last shots. I had thought about exposing to OWH and OW on the way to Retrouvaille so that we're offline for three days and she has to deal with the fallout from the exposure without having him around to lean on. (he has no cell phone and I'd make sure he didn't have his computer with him) I'm also thinking about going to his friends, one who was the best man at our wedding and asking them to not accept her into their lives until such time as D is announced - to give us space. I know he told them that he's always loved her and we dont' have any love left, but I have the old posts from his last EA in 2005 to show friends that he's been there done this before. I think friends are honest and mature enough to back off and let us deal with it on our own.
