OT, you make very good points. I have a real problem asking for help and I know I need to just get over it. If I don't ask, I don't get. Knowing how busy everyone is my guilt gets the best of me.

Mish, this is an opportunity for you to start to show that you can live for yourself. That doesn't mean you don't care about other people, it just means you also care about yourself. Of course they are all busy, so what? That doesn't mean they don't have responsibilities. It doesn't mean that they can't help. Ask for help. It's not a sign of weakness.
Just do it already!! No execuses. Write the e-mail, pick up the phone...whatever. Your family may not have even realized how overwhelmed you are. speak up!

My cousin's husband and son came over yesterday to measure for a wheelchair ramp. They were going to build it yesterday but it started pouring rain so they are going to try again today. They are hoping to have it done before I have to get her dialysis tomorrow morning.
