We are now paying for our one day of beautiful weather with 3 days of gloomy rain and colder temps. BLECH! Bring on the sunshine!!!! How do people live in the Pacific Northwest? ICK! Too many clouds makes for a cloudy spirit as far as I'm concerned.
Yesterday Gabe texted me to tell me that he was going to pick up Marc and take him to get his hair cut when he got home from school. Fine by me! He then asked if we wanted some pizza for dinner since he had some from work. Sure, why not? One night I won't have to cook for everyone! YEAH! Imagine my surprise though when I got home to find Gabe still at my house last night. He was fixing Marc's bike that had a flat tire and the chain had come off. That's fine, it just surprised me to find him there.
I managed to play polite when I got out of the car and that turned into an hour and a half of talking about Marc, a couple of mutual friends that I haven't spoken to since the S (one is the father of our Godson and Gabe caught me up on some things that our Godson has been up to the last couple of months), and some stuff about his family. I listened, interjected comments where appropriate, etc.. It was fine, it didn't upset me to talk with him, I didn't think much about it until later. He has never been this talkative, he answers questions when asked but doesn't have detailed conversations. Yesterday he couldn't shut up! He must be starved for conversation or something. When he was leaving with Marc for karate he said, "Thanks for the talk. It was nice." Strange man! One great thing to come out of it.....he handed me $20! YEAH! I don't know where he got it but I don't care. Cash in hand is nice. I can get Marc his own darned supply of yogurt so he stops eating all of mine!!!
