I got home for lunch at the same time that the medical equipment company showed up with a walker and bedside commode for mom. We got everything adjusted and they left and mom was able to get up from the bed holding the walker and maneuver her way through to the living room without falling!! YEAH!!! Small victories! I don't know if she can get up from there to get to the bathroom but she's a pro at waiting for me. We'll see.

Oh trust me, my family knows just how stressed I am but they are all busy with their lives and can't see giving up any of their time to spend with her. There is no help there. Heck, they couldn't be bothered to spend an hour talking to her at the hospital, let alone come sit with her at the house.

There is some respite care I may be able to arrange, but it's for daycare only, no overnight, so it really isn't going to do much for allowing me to get out of town for a few days.

I know it won't be like this forever, but the reasons for it ending are NOT good so I just don't want to think about it. Right now is my concern and Marc's quality of life concerns me greatly. He has voiced his displeasure at not being able to just go away for a couple of days. He's not happy and I don't blame him.

In the meantime, I'll just keep working my frustrations out on the Wii. Today it's 74 degrees and sunny though and walking outside would be very nice. We'll see how this afternoon goes with work. Tomorrow it's going to drop back to 60. frown BOO HISS! Of course, we'll be complaining louder in August when it's 89 degrees with 90% humidity. grin They don't call it HOTLANTA for nothing!
