OK so this is probably hypochondriac BBJ but I will spill it here so I don't say it to people in real life...
I have had MRSA four times, (Yep, FOUR) in the past 3 years.
First on the back/base of my neck (right above the tshirt line, I think I got it from a sweaty weight bench at the YMCA). Then, one side of my jawline. Then, the other side of my jawline. The last time was about a year ago, inside my nose I had a painful spot of it.
So, anyway, for the past several months I have been getting painful bumps on my jaw again. I haven't seen a doc bc they haven't gotten as big or swollen as the MRSA ones, but they feel similar on a smaller scale...
Then since December I have had pain and a stuffy nose on the same side where I had the MRSA before. However, no big lump like before (sorry if TMI).
Now it has been three weeks of a cold with a very stuffy nose...for about 7 days the nodes in my neck have been swollen and painful.
Now the past 2 days my face hurts to move/lean over, the back of my head feels like I am being hit with a bat, I feel kind of out of breath/strange in my chest (similar to once when I had 'asthma after a virus'), my eyes are full of pressure, etc.
SO, I probably just have a sinus infection. But am I crazy to wonder if the MRSA is playing a role? They say you can become "colonized" and have it living in your nasal passages, given I actually had to have a MRSA cyst cut open in my nose last year I am sure it is entirely possible...starting to wonder if it isn't in my sinuses now...
