You asked on your other thread about a voice-activated recorder. It worked extremely well for me, but is NOT for the feint-of-heart. Trust me, after you hear your wife having sex with OM in her car, or phone sex over her cell from her car, you'll have a MUCH harder time with the "loving" half of "loving detachment" than you will with the "detachment" part.
Velcro'ing one up underneath her driver's seat, with fresh alkaline batteries DAILY, should do the trick in short order. You can get a USB-capable one, so that you can offload any fruitful recordings quickly before replacing the batteries and putting it back into her car.
Do NOT make the mistake of saying the ol' "Testing, one, two, three" into the recorder, as YOUR VOICE may then end up on there, should you get caught and she should find the recorder. And trust me, it's not a matter of "if" but of "when." Just do "tongue-clicks" instead to make sure it's picking up.
I would never recommend this, naturally, if this is ILLEGAL in your jurisdiction, but rather, if you had reason to be CONCERNED about your wife's safety, etc., it may be something that you could do to alleviate your concerns. Or so I've heard.
Thanks Puppy, this is why I asked...just researched and found it is against the law to tape any private conversation without one party consenting. Wonder though if taping my home (the office) would be legal to ensure conversations I may have in the office are recorded.

* know where cars and cell phones in your name are at all times. people steal these things all the time it is invaluable to know where to recover them.
* online cell phone billing, need to make sure your cell phone is not butt dialing or some chat program is not downloading into your phone when you re sleeping.
* do you have a baby sitter web cam in your house yet? baby sitters are notorious for doing things they should be doing in YOUR house.
* voice activated tape recorders are fun toys to play with. you know when you are driving and blech the ABC's and want to go back and listen to it later.
* oh yeah, has anybody been charging items to your credit cards, make sure you are looking out for identity fraud.
