Yep, decided to have fun for a change. Do what I want and not worry about the big picture...
I taught Children's Church this morning--kids 5-8 can come down and get a lesson while the grownups listen to the sermon.
I didn't go up to the sanctuary, just went straight down to the classroom in the basement bc I got there 15 minutes after church started and it was almost time for class...
Ran upstairs to grab some tissues (stupid cold!) and saw Dan was there with Nathan...Dan hasn't been to church in 6 weeks so I was glad they came. Sydney was down in the nursery.
Well Nathan was thrilled to see me during kids' church. However Sydney saw me after church and wanted Mommy! She hugged me tight and didn't want to let go. Dan said she had been having a 'rough time'...
Maybe I was mean but I did not rescue. I told them to have fun at lunch (always go out after church for lunch) and I would pick them up at 5...Sydney didn't want me to go without her but I hugged her tight and gave her back to her Dad. It's time he learn to deal with them when they are upset about our situation...
