We have Macy's, BUT it's not a good one, and a few decent boutiques, but, you'll love this, my new FAVE for spring clothes is KOHL's!! LOL Especially since I don't know what size I'll settle in. But, seriously, their designers this season are really great, and you gotta love that every time you get to the register it's on SALE even more than you thought! Our JCP sucks. Huge store but really messy. I don't even attempt.

LOL Forgot to mention the speech... Completely forgot my note cards at home, didn't realize until 30 min prior to speech. H is so nervous for me, he is practically turning white. I have done / do presentations for a living (when I actually get out and about), so, no worries. Give me 10 min in the girls room to gather my thoughts again...

For those of you that have followed... you know that D18 is a bit of a wild child. She lives in her own apt, and goes to school, but she's a WILD CHILD! (Not sure where she gets that!?) Well, she had several "incidents" in Dec/Jan that we had to step in and help with... They out-partied their apartment complex (filled w/pro hockey players, I might add!), and I stepped in and negotiated a quiet exit, instead of eviction. Then, helped them get a new apartment (as they really were scared to death, and felt they had learned their lesson - NOT). Well, the first weekend they're in their NEW apartment, we get a call from the land lord, and she's wanting them out immediately. OH GOD! Well, I told D18 that I was done helping. Figure it out, girlfriend, but I'd recommend some huge croc tears, begging, pleading, etc... Use those God-given looks and your propensity for drama to the GOOD! So, she does, and they're allowed to stay.
Well, truth be told, H (who is/was VERY tight w/D18) is also helping her on the side w/"issues" that have come up, but doesn't tell me. So, by the time this happens, he is DONE!!! Now, I've kept D18 at arms length since then, but haven't stopped communicating w/her, and have seen her at least weekly. H told her to stop txting and calling him until she's decided to grow up. And, is pretty set in (since late January). Well, I totally get his position, BUT, have a hard time w/their lack of communication - it hurts a mom for everyone not be in harmony.
WELL, this weekend is S13's birthday, and we'll all need to be together, right? I was worried about H and D18 and what their interactions, if any, would be...
Yesterday, we took the S13's friends to play basketball at the Y, and D18 sees us, and comes and surprises us in the bball gym. (She's w/her BFF, who we've known and loved forever.)
(GNO THINKS I SHOULD LEARN SOMETHING FROM D18)
She comes in, and immediately is fawning all over H.
OMG! Look at that oufit you're rockin' at the gym! OMG! I have at least 700 stories for you!!! OMG! OMG! OMG! Fill me in on everyting! BFF, doesn't he have the BEST stories? Hahahah LOL Hahahah
They are best friends again in absolutely 90 seconds.

Hey Mind, you didn't tell me about the speech. Congratulations on rocking it.
As for learning from D18... you've already started doing that, remember? All you need to do is rework her "techniques" into your own style.
Look at what D18 did:
1) She called and apologized - result: Nada 2) She went dark on him for 2 months so he could "digest" it (remember your H is "slow" 3) She waited for a good opportunity and when it presented itself carried on as if nothing had happened.
Groan! Keeping up with Handful is going to become a full time job! I'm going on strike.
Just saw this, G... LoL No worries, Spring soccer starts this week for the boys, and I tend to just drive, cheer, and provide food until July. I'll be a cake walk now!
