What- acoustic neuroma? Yes, it is very, very serious but as for tumors it is one of the ones I would choose if I had to have one. That or a meningioma or mets the others are really, really horrible= hallucination, severs headaches, lots of seizures- really awful. The gliomas are the worst- *shudder*

I have not read about a genetic link for that particular tumor- I really have no idea. I just know that it's almost always a woman and an older woman. Seems to always have a good surgical outcome from what I saw. Quicker recovery like a mets tumor.
