BND, if your ex is OK with it then fine.

In my case, nothing has been missed this entire school year. And it's more restful having them just stay here. They don't have to worry about repacking then unpacking, then filling W in. Instead, we get the whole day. They take baths at night. They get to sleep in. W has to be at work before they get to school so they have to take the bus. In my case, I just drive them on my days so they get an extra 30 minutes of sleep.

This again is the trust factor. Most parents feel they are the responsible one and the kids can't possibly get along without them.

And the final point. No awkward handoff times. The girls don't feel guilty running from the car to give W a hug.

I will spend every last dime fighting that proposal.
