What happened is this: we have exchanged several texts, IM'd, and emailed here and there. Once we had an actual phone conversation.
However, AG lives 3 hours away and has young daughters. He mentioned during our phone call that he has requested that he be transferred back to Washington, DC (where he was before Kansas) in a few years. Because I also have young children, I am in no position to relocate. Which means developing a relationship would not really be worth the time invested. So, when he texts, I text back, but I leave it at that.
It was nice to have someone to flirt with/chat with, though...
Kerry, I know I like to be taken to dinner. I have no problem paying for my own meal, though, I don't expect that from the start! I just think it is nice to spend some time over dinner having conversation with someone of the opposite sex who finds me interesting.
