Good for Roger! I've never owned a new car myself but the one I have now was only 1 year old when I bought it so that was new enough.
Washer and dryer would be good. LOL I got mine at an overstock appliance warehouse for $700 for the pair. They are super sized Maytag Neptune models. LOVE THEM!
