Gypsy, you should have tried harder to have John find another interest. There were many times, as a Portland Trailblazer fan, that I could have done without the pick and roll duo of John Stockton and Karl Malone playing for the Jazz.
When I drove into Salt Lake City the summer before last with my kids, they were wondering why they heard daddy groaning when I noticed streets named after that duo. And to top it off, as we passed by the Delta Center, I spotted these statues...
To put into perspective how great of a player Stockton was, the NBA record he holds for most career assists (15,806) is 5000 ahead of the next guy on the list.
