Does anyone else have this happen to them? Today has actually been a great day. I got a lot done, sang to music while I painted away in my room...just basically had a good day, attitude etc. The phone rings earlier and it is my friend who's H works with my H. She got a text from a mutual friend of ours saying she had heard the news about H and I and that it was one of my neighbors that told her. I know it is coming out, small town and all that but I am so afraid that the more people that know, the more scared H will be to come home should he decide to do that! So now, I am sad. Maybe reality hit again...geez...

That's the least of your worries at this point, CW; you can't worry about what he'll do because of the word getting around; you got enough on your plate as it is now; without adding more.

I'm not trying to be unkind; I really do understand...but, sometimes things like this are part of the MLC'er's consequences.
IMHO, quite honestly, people really ought to keep their mouths shut, and just pray for the couple in trouble instead of spreading gossip around for others to do whatever they do with it.

On the other hand, people are going to talk no matter what you do, and you cannot stop that; would be a waste to even try to stop the gossipers...then again, they need prayer, too.

Everything happens for a reason, and we won't always know that reason..for everything bad that happens, there is always something good that comes out of it...sounds like a cliche, but you, I've seen it happen more than once. smile

Look at their nicknames; you'll see who they are..Some have had to add some stuff to get a last name, as FB requires that..I had to break mine down. LOL!!

I can't believe this... my WH started doing the same thing. THANK YOU, I've noticed it a while ago in person and in texts or e-mail. He was never this "formal". I'm actually upset by it, it makes me feel that he treats me like a stranger, that he is putting up a wall. Before it used to be "thanks sweetie"

Can't take it personal, Mila; at least he IS saying thank you at all. They can be SO rude sometimes, BUT you have to remember he is at a time in his life BEFORE he met you, as weird as that seems...that's why you really do need to detach and distance..when you're looked at and treated as a total stranger, it can be VERY unnerving.

I can remember a point in time when my husband told me that it "seems you can help me"...just like he'd NEVER known me..and at that point in his life HE HADN'T and DIDN'T. It did me NO good to tell him that we'd been married at that time for over 16 years...He seriously did NOT know me at all; just was vaguely aware of me.

I was detached enough at that point to really see what was going on, and didn't take it personally at all.

When you get enough detachment and distance going..you'll see MORE things..it's like stepping "OUTSIDE" the box and looking back in.
