I use caloriecounter.com. I make mostly everything, as well, but you can get fairly specific w/ingredients. I'm working on the sugar thing, but it's up and down (as I sit here eating Peanut M&M's! LOL)
The day improved. He came home in a better mood. I handled two of the three TODO's. Grrrr. He had better keep one eye open while he sleeps, though! LoL
I did the run early this afternoon, and then earlier this evening S12 and I took the dog for a 3-mile walk. It was good. The weather was good, and S12 came along, and actually spoke a bit. Ha! What is it w/these barely teens (he's 13 this week)? Boys! One word answers, laughs here and there, and grunts when allowed.

Mind, how are you? I am reading along. Seems like Mr. Mind doesn't stay in a funk tooo long, or does he?
So you are trying to cut out sugar? That is good. I read that sugar decreases immunity and that certain diseases thrive on it. I haven't cut it out though I am trying to cut it down.
I checked out the Zumba thing but it seems all about weight loss which I have never needed!!! So, I'll pass on that one. It looks like fun, though.
MF, I had a crappy day myself if its any consillation...h wasnt around at all...he had so many things to get ready for...ie softball meeting 2morrow night and contractor meetings all week...
wtf? i didnt complain, not even ONE word that i was stuck with all the housework, 2 kids of my own plus 1 friend over, and tomorrow is Monday again!

I tried it again, and it didn't do it the second time, I have no idea what I typed in the first time ???
however, I was really intrigued by the video on that website. It is against calorie counting, as if we eat the right foods, we can eat a lot, but when we eat the wrong foods, we have to starve ourselves to lose weight and that doesn't work either because we put ourselves in starvation mode.
you should watch it... it gives some helpful info in the first 5-7 minutes...the end is about buying a set of books or something. Most of it I already knew because of being a nutrition freak. lol but some things I did not, and generally, most people won't know half of it because we've been somewhat "brainwashed" by all these crazy diets.

MF, I think you're at the point where you could have a convo with H regarding your to do list. He needs to know just how much you do during his absence to take care of the kids, house, and your own career. You've spent the past couple years going out of your way to make things nice and good for him but it hasn't really been fair to you. I don't think he understands just how much work you do and that he has not been pulling his fair share. Just my two cents.
I'm trying to cut down on sugar too but so far it's only been a good idea. Once I get rid of the Girl Scout cookies it'll be easier. I did get some almond milk to try out per someone's suggestion upthread. I didn't realize how much sugar milk had!
Also a question about the running. Do you find it too slow? The fast pace is the speed I usually walk so I'm finding it very difficult to jog that slowly. I love the interval training but wish it were at 145-148 bpm.

almond milk?? weird! never heard of it. but, milk really isn't good for you anyways. ya, I'm a milk hater. haha, but it's great for cereal, oh, and pancakes, and waffles, and icecream. lol

Mind I am so impressed at you sticking with the running program! I had to take a brief break this week gearing up for the speech contest (OK I could have run in the early a.m. but didn't!!), but I hope to be back on the wagon this week.
Just wanted to give you some encouragement, you are doing a fabulous job!!
He was a pisser on and off from Sat am when he work up, until this am when he left. He just called me, after hanging w/my dad this am... much better mood, etc... Prior to hanging up I told him to remember this conversation, this tone, and demeanor (kind, funny, etc...), and leave the one from this weekend, the f*ck away from me! He laughed, and said, "Gosh, I wasn't mad at you for anything. I was just getting things done." So, we agreed that next time if he's busy w/his checklists, etc... he can be busy w/out the 'TUDE! Good Lord! SMACK!
Funny on the Zumba. And, can I privately hate you for not needing weight loss? LoL Actually, I'm getting closer to not needing it either, just toning and sculpting soon.
And, on the sugar... cut down is more appropriate. And, not just that, but on anything bad!!!
