That is through the community college. Because it's an online course though they don't qualify for financial aid since they put it under continuing education. I'll keep looking though.

Hey! One more thing to share with you guys.

I've been exercising faithfully. A combination of Wii, elliptical trainer, and free weights and pilates ball. The weather is starting to improve so I'll be able to get out on my bike again soon. I bought another Wii program that a friend of mine has that is SO fun. It's called "Walk it Out". Rythmic walking to music and building points for your steps to build the communities on this island. Pretty cool.

My efforts to change my diet have been mediocre and that is where I'm killing all my efforts so last week I joined Weight Watchers so I would have the accountability. So....yesterday was my first week weigh in......I lost 5 pounds last week. Yeah me! Also ran into 4 people I know in the meeting. That was pretty cool too. All in all I think this will really be the best way to keep me on track.

When it becomes a competition and you have others to help keep you on track that's an effective combination.

The good thing is the more you work out the less foods you have to give up that you really like.

Great to hear, Mish. One of my friends from work started that about 2 months ago and she's consistently lost weight every week for that period. I like the way she says you get extra points for exercising too, so you can eat more. That looks like an awesome program!!! The Wii thing sounds cool--need to start saving for that it sounds like! Are those fitness programs able to have 2 people using it?? I think my 10 yo would love to use it too!

I borrowed a Gazelle from my niece and have been getting on that at least three times a week, along with a little weight training and crunches. I find it does help alot...once I actually get on it!!! I am a villified couch potato...but some of the stress does melt away while I am exercising.

Im still standin better than I ever did looking like a true survivor feeling like a little kid Im still standin after all this time and Im picking up the pieces of my life without you on my mind..

Karen - Yes, two people can use it at the same time for some of the games and programs. The Wii Fit is for one person only but you develop profiles for each individual and you can go 'head to head' taking turns. Marc loves it. I haven't gotten him to do the walking program with me yet, but he was loving the music to it so I might get him doing it after all. That one uses the Wii controller and the nunchuck and since we have two of each he can do it with me.

I do love to do my exercise when I can manage to just put away all the 1000 other things I need to do and concentrate on me for an hour. It makes my day a lot better and I feel like I've accomplished something. Not bad burning 500 calories walking 3 miles in my living room either!

Ok, I just ordered it! With my allergies it really isn't fun to be out walking when people start mowing, inside is good enough for me! I am going to try to be good this week. I know I will be doing lots of walking. The kids are so picky eating so I probably won't be too tempted. smile

WTG - Can you msg me that Wii walk program??? Sounds fab for the rain out days around here! I don't really like to do anything indoors, but that may work.
