This was one of my biggest 180's getting over the embarassment! But then why should I have been it wasn't me who left. I'd just go with the i'd rather not comment at this moment, as it's a private matter. You may have to perfect the walk away and dismiss them politely it's the only way, people will be impressed by your composure just focus on that!
