feel like giving up - pt 2

I picked up H at airport yesterday and he actually had something nice to say for once. When he got into the car he said, "the car looks really nice hun" (I just washed my perty escalade cuz I had to turn it back in - it's leased)

We made small talk in the car and I asked how his trip was etc. When he got home he went to see the kids and it was weird bcuz they kinda shined him on. I guess they're over him being gone so much.

I told him about the details to purchase my new car. He made a rude comment in front of the kids "I'm gonna take your mom to the used car lot." Whatever. This is a guy who normally gets excited to buy me anything big or small but that man is gone I know.

I was going to get a base model car and he said, "no let's get the fully loaded one" so I said hey, if you say so. We went to dinner with the kids. He made a couple of rude comments and I was visibly irritated (I know! I let him get to me!) so he was saying to the kids, "now you're mom's upset." They said, "why mom?" I said, "because I'm tired that your dad has nothing nice to say." He changed his attitude and poured my beer and said cheers.

I got another gun put away and need a couple more before I head out for battle.
