Have you tried looking at maybe the smaller airports around ATL? I don't know how the pay was for agents but after 5 years as a flight attendant it was pretty darn good. I don't even want to think what my friends that have been flying 20+ years are at. Only real downfall is they are open everyday.

I miss flying free but I have more time with my family so there is the trade off.

We are going to think of something, I promise. Check with the hospitals too as far as billing, clerk or even the people that draw blood(I can't think for the life of me what they are called).

mish, what's the worst thing that can happen if you apply somewhere? You don't get the job! And you already don't have the job, so you haven't lost a thing!

No more giving up before you start! There might be disappointment, but that's ok! That goes for getting a job, meeting friends, and getting the CS out of Gabe! No more, "It won't work because...". If you've had enough, it's time for you to take control of your life.

Phlebotomy....the word has always conjured up visions of nastiness...to close to phlem. LOL!

There really are no smaller commercial airports around ATL. ATL is the busiest airport in the world. The next closest is Macon, about an hour and a half south of me. Tiny terminal and only Delta serves it.

I really do want out of travel. 20 years in it is FAR too much for something I really hate now. I left UA to have more time with Marc. I can't imagine what salary I would be at now if I had stayed with them, not to mention the benefits! Oh well....young and stupid. Thought I'd have a backup salary forever. HA! How naive.

I honestly have no idea! I stopped having any specific desire to do anything with my career a LONG time ago. I have no passion about anything so nothing comes to mind.

I can say that I don't like the idea of working isolated. I don't think I would do well in anything that had no human contact. I'm a very social creature. I'm not very well organized, but I do alright. I'm good with deadlines and very tight turnaround times. I do alright with a computer and can learn pretty much any system. I'm great with codes. There aren't any specific jobs that come to mind that would gear into those traits, but I'll find something. I just know that I need out of travel. I'm so SICK OF IT!

Uh huh.....ok. In other words, that's how he is forewarning me there will be no CS coming this week either.

It took every bit of sitting on my hands I could must not to reply to it. Reply what? How about "Tell your gf you need an allowance to pay for your kid." or something equally nasty. I swear! What a complete and total dumba$$!!!!
