This was a funny post dialogue. Reminded me of last year when I noticed my H's gray chest hair was removed....COMPLETELY. Alase surgery and to top it off, it cost $2500.

Too funny....

Made me laugh too - been there with a lot of that craziness.

Can someone explain to me the whole MLC hair phobia thing that seems to hit so many of these men? Seems so strange to me.

trustingfaith,
Puberty all over again...that's how far back some of them go....no facial hair, etc. prior to that time.

Snodderly, that is actually what I thought probably was the case. Why do I find it a bit creepy? Does that thought consciously go through their heads?

Yes...it's understandable when you stop and think about the age for which they were emotionally stunted....some were stunted prior to puberty and others right around that crucial transition.

It appears creepy to us because we don't truly understand their mindsets, but if you can remain open to the possibilities of what may be driving this, then you will have a better understanding of why they are going back to revisiting that time.

Are they at all aware during the MLC that they are going back to that period of time?

Mine didn't give the appearance of knowing. He shaved all of his hair off, i.e., the same appearance he had as a child of 6/7. He then purchased matchbox cars and sat in the floor and played with them and every now and then would call my attention to the hood, trunk and doors that would open on certain models.

They also do not remember quite a bit of what transpires during the crisis.

Wow - your H truly did go way back in time then!

I just find this all so incredibly fascinating . . . I never knew the mind could work this way before I have been watching it first hand.
