OMG, P90X looks brutal to me. But maybe that's what I need. I've read a couple articles recently that said diet is more important than exercise in losing weight so I'll try to focus on that first. PB class this morning was tough--I was dripping sweat. Can't belive one woman stayed for the next class! I will try to add walking/running back into the mix so I'm working out for 2hrs a day. {We'll see how long that lasts.} And then my boot camp will start up in May.

I think it's a good idea to wait for the other things to settle down before making any other major life changes. You don't need any extra stress right now.

BTW tal, I have two weddings to attend in June so I'll be pretty much be unavailable 6/10-20. Not that you need to make plans around me but just FYI.

aver, I wouldn't like the idea of a dinner date with someone who I didn't know that well. I like the idea of doing activities so that it's more like a "parallel" experience rather than the intensity of face-to-face interactions. For example I would want to get yummy fish tacos from a waterfront shack and go for a walk along the water.

Tal, first off I gotta say this. Just what the world needs, another Lawyer!!!

To you and Aver,

Read enough on the boards and you'll see that some people do go on to save their M's and get their lives back on track with WAS. But a lot don't, at the end of the day it's not up to you and what will be will be.

The fact that you're both having your ups and downs says you're normal people. The fact that you can deal with the intense emotions that go with this journey, not hide them, SHOWS that you are both extraordinary people.

And that's what this is, a Journey. IMO the destination really isn't as important as the road you travel to get there.

If the destination brings you and H back together, fine. If it doesn't fine as well.

The really important thing is the Journey. You are both doing what it's all about - dealing with a crap situation with style, grace and a determination not to let things overwhelm you.

I know you will both get to a place where you can honestly see that your future is bright no matter what the outcome.

Oh and BTW, as you said on your thread Aver, there really is nothing like having another person touch you when you've been alone for so long, even if it's just an innocent hand over the shoulder.

Hugs to both of you, you're doing a fantastic job.

I've heard great things about P90X talia. Good for you! My female friend who tried it found that she couldn't do a lot of the exercises (pull-ups for example), but she had fun with it and found it a great challenge.
