Thanks rr! I like crowns. And tiaras...

So, it was almost the 365 day anniversary (i.e a year) of formal divorce busting and what did Kara have to show for it?

Let's see....

1. A library of self help books, abbreviations and quaint phrases to sprinkle into daily conversation such as cognitive dissonance, "act as if",LBS, WAS. Etc. Could she now claim to be trilingual since DBusting had its own language? Even if it was one that ordinary people did not understand and accused her of "making it up" ?
2. An unshakeable faith in God and thanks for everything He had done for her. Note: This list is not in numerical order or number 2 would be number 1.
3. An arsenal of makeup and shoes. Hard to go wrong there.
4. The knowledge that you don't die from a broken heart. You don't get broken from a broken heart. Unless you choose to. And even in your most melodramatic, woe is me fit, you don't actually pass out from crying in a weakened state on the floor to be later discovered by the WAS. That'll show them! Hmm...doesn't work. At the most you get a really bad headache and puffy eyes.
5. The knowledge that life was still good. Yes, siree Bob.
6. The knowledge that forgiveness is a gift you give to yourself. Who wants to be a wrinkled up bitter old woman (or man)? So not attractive to anyone.Self included.
7. Realizing that sometimes letting go is the best way of holding on.
8. The rediscovery of Kara. Still alive. Still kicking. Still seeking knowledge. Still funny, attractive, desirable. (Still humble??) LOL.
9. A understanding of Mr. Kara. In more fundamental terms than before. A deeper kind of love for Mr. Kara. Isn't that ironic?? (Insert laugh here)
10. And...drum roll, please. Peace. She had peace.

Can't keep a good woman down
