I took yesterday off from work due to going to a late high school basketball game on Tuesday night..I ended up watching the USA hockey game and part of the canadian...Canada looks tough....really tough...The USA game was really intense...lots of hard checking....USA got lucky with the "magic" puck that never crossed the line....
I watched the USA game also and saw the magic puck that bounced off the goal bar. There was also that near goal by the USA at the end of the 2nd where the puck was just on the line as the clock went to 0.
Yep, Canada is unbeatable if they can play their remaining 2 games like they did yesterday. But, how is their mental confidence if they get behind early?

I did not get to see the whole canadian game...I was wondering..I know Canada did not start Broduer(Sp) (forgive me John) in the net but started the backup...I know early on he did not take many shots..did the backup play the whole game and did he get anymore action later in the game??
It does seem that the weakness right now with Canada is their confidence in a goalie. The Russians did get 3 past Luongo. Maybe they should try the young 25 year old Fluery now.
Something to think about...Ryan Miller has only allowed 5 goals in 4 games.
I'd love to see a Canada US final. It would be great for North American hockey and give the sport some visability in the US. This is just great hockey....the best I have ever seen....the athletes are getting bigger / faster / stronger and just as agile with the puck. Yesterday's first period was arguably the largest domination of one hockey super power against another in olympic history.
I am not worried about Luongo and or Fleury. Brodeur is at the end of an illustrious career and is on the decline.
If Canada can take it to the slovaks like they did to the russians, it would take anoother miracle on ice for the slovaks to win. The US will have all they could handle with the Finns...Miller or not.
Congrats to the Canadian ladies on winning womens hockey for a threepeat. Fire up the Zamboni and lets get that ice all hardened up for some hard hitting dudes on skates tomorrow.
In figure skating, Yu-Na Kim was awesome!
FYI... If I had come out of my mom as a girl, my name was going to be Kim.
