Hi Shiny,

Sorry to hear you are so down today It does sound though like it could be the not feeling well that is making you feel this way. I hope you aren't coming down with the same thing that the rest of us have had

I have those days where the ILY sounds perfunctory and too reminscent of the old days. My gut reaction is "OH,no!" but then I step back a moment and look at the clock I have started noticing that H either forgets to say it or mumbles it on days when he is running late and is in a hurry to get out the door It was like that today. He did good when asking me for "kissies" but then forgot the ILY part. I ended up saying it first before I had a chance to stop myself Oh well...maybe I am reaching a point where it is OK for me to say it first once in awhile

Kind of weird about the computer thing. Maybe you were dreaming and it carried over to your waking up??

HAng in there and hope you are better tomorrow am

i am so sorry that you are feeling unwell at the moment. when there is lots of stress (work and such) in ANY relationship it puts a strain on the wink wink nudge nudge - add the fact that there is history in yours and it has a more detrimental effect

you are feeling lousy, so naturally your outlook on things are lousy too. get yourself to feeling better before you place alot of negativity into your r - cj and you have made huge strides in so many areas, there is a natural cycle in any relationship and that is all your experiencing now

you do have to remember still that really, it's ONLY been a year, and you have gotten past LOTS of hurdles during that time

enjoy that wine!!!

oh shiny,

I think it's time we both just kicked ourselves in the butt and got happy whether we are getting the wink wink or not!

I'm tired as I'm sure you are, of feeling so down about everything as a result of the ssm.

so what are we going to do about it?

SHiny, hope you're feeling a bit better now.

Think about it this way... there's plenty of wink wink, nudge nudge up here and still I've been feeling down. SOmetimes it seems that that's all there is.... I guess I want the emotional side of things LOL Oh well, working on it slowly.
I'm with zoo here. I too had a bad feeling about that perfunctory ILY that I sometimes got, and yes also my thoughts would go off by themselves, but I did make the connection as well... if Rui is tired, or late for something, or stressed about something that's when it comes out.. and when I think about it, it makes sense.

Thanks everyone,

There is NO doubt that feeling poorly physically plays a big role in my negativity...just took my temp and it's 100...the highest it's been since it started creeping up two months ago.

It's not the flu, it's my kidney.

As for the perfunctory ILY's...it's not just sometimes, it's EVERY time.

I just feel so exhausted that the very thought of all I have to do tomorrow at work is overwhelming...at least CJ agreed to drive me so I don't have to slog from the parking lot (quite a distance) through the SNOW....yes we have snow on the ground here now.

As for enjoying the wine...well, as often happens when the kidney is acting up, I couldn't even finish half the glass....probably a self-protection thing.

Tired...but don't want to toss for hours like last night, and David Letterman just ain't doing it for me tonight, so I'll BB for a bit.

Hey Will? You feeling better now? LOL, You crack me up!

Hey Shiny,
I'm so sorry you are feeling down. It does sound like maybe feeling bad is making it even worse. And that thing about the computer, probably freaked you out. I hope it was a relief to wake up and realize it wasn't real.

I know all about that tossing and turning. You know what works for me? Boring cable channels (don't tell the cable company that I work for though... ). History channel does it for me often, depending on what is on. Give it a try. If not, you know me....Vino and Bubbles! Works every time.

You take care of yourself, and feel better soon. And if you need some hugs, we're here for you. Lord knows, you've given me enough smiles along the way.

{{{SHINY}}} We love you!
