I missed it last night, did the Canadian skater whose mom died get a medal? Or is competition ongoing?

An intriguing feature of string theory is that it involves the prediction of extra dimensions. The number of dimensions is not fixed by any consistency criterion, but flat spacetime solutions do exist in the so-called "critical dimension". Cosmological solutions exist in a wider variety of dimensionalities, and these different dimensions—more precisely different values of the "effective central charge", a count of degrees of freedom which reduces to dimensionality in weakly curved regimes—are related by dynamical transitions.

It was just the short program. The free skate final is tomorrow (Thursday). Kim Yu-Na from Korea is 1st. Mao Asada from Japan is 2nd. Joannie Rochette from Canada is 3rd. The USA women are at 5th and 6th. The 16 year old American girl was spinning so fast that she got a nose bleed. Look for her to win it all in 2014.

It is going to be pretty hard for someone to beat Kim Yu-Na as she is nearly perfect.

Ohh oops...Bobbijo you are too funny!
I gave up sugar for lent. I was going to do alcohol but realized sugar is much more of a sacrifice. Plus, it will help with the scales. I'm pretty proud of myself I ran two miles last night at the gym. Not a huge amount but for me, that's a lot. I'm not a runner at all. Felt really good and was proud of myself. Anyway, thanks for all your help Bobbi. smile

Have many found it difficult to date after D? I have never dated....so it's foreign to me and scares the crap out of me. But a little, little bit exciting to imagine the thought of a sweet, nice, gentleman, if one still exists smile

Kerry-I did see the American girl skater who got a nosebleed, that was wild!

Nik-First, you should have email if it went through! smile

Second, I am excited and scared to date. Excited at the prospect of meeting a great guy. Not so excited about wading through the not-so-greats via Match/Eharmony to find great guy.

My hope is that now that I have 'gone public' and some people in town know I am D'd, the word will spread and some cute local guy will approach me. Hey, it could happen! grin

I loved dating after my divorce. The first time I was dating I was only 19 years old. Dating when you are older is very different.

I am getting married in a little over a week to a sweet, nice gentleman. We have been dating over two years and are still head over heels in love! Have hope! Wonderful men are out there, especially at your age! Just yesterday my new guy said "I hope we are always this happy." I said "We will make sure we are." (He was left by his wife after 20 years of marriage a year before I was left by my husband after 20 years of marriage.)

Regarding the lawyer, please make sure everything is explicit. I have had a lot of problems with my psycho ex because the parenting agreement used words like "reasonable" and was too generic. If you are dealing with a crazy person, you need to have everything explicit. For example, my ex calls every day to talk to the kids and has a fit if we are busy eating dinner or out and do not immediately return his call. They call him back 95% of the time, but on those 5% of the time that they do not talk to him until the next day, I get nasty ranting email messages that I am interfering with his phone calls. Also, I have had a lot of trouble with holiday visitation times. Make sure there are explicit start and end dates with explicit times for EVERY holiday.
