Hello Puppy! Hope you are well.

It's been awhile since I checked in so I thought I'd give you an update. Things are going actually very well. We're having a lot of fun together (went away for Valentine's Day - received a lovely card).

Unfortunately, his/our business is not doing well at all. He's starting to get more work if we can just get creditors to work with us instead of starting off so violatile! So basically everyone has been getting paid but us. Not good. But the stress is actually pushing us together instead of apart. We're really working together hard as a team.

I continue to help out with his mom (Alzheimers - I think I told you about that previously). My husband's father is really the problem. He's doing the "poor me" and constantly makes things worse because he refuses to listen to anyone. We think he may actually think that she may get better. It's just not good all the way around. He's very hard to deal with and we really believe that he's not treating my mother-in-law that well either.

I talked to my H's aunt last week for her birthday and she made a point of telling me how pleased she was to hear from my H that things were so much better and going well for us. I'll continue to take it one day at a time.

How is your daughter? I guess that's it for now. Hope your week is off to a good start.

Puppy - Time for another update. I need to figure out how to move my thread over to Piecing or whatever it's called I guess.

Enjoying having the day off. Work has been extremely hectic. Lots and lots of projects - job security at least. My H's business is slowly starting to get better. It's probably going to take us at least a year to crawl out of the hole we're in.

Only sporatic contact from the former friend. After two years, their divorce is still not finalized. Both of us are glad to have that drama out of our life.

We're still struggling with my H's Dad and his treatment of my MIL. My FIL is severely depressed but won't get help and my SIL in an enabler and big "Daddy's Girl." She's says she's just there for Dad. Wrong! Her mom is the patient! Just taking that situation one day at a time. I know my FIL says he'll never put her in a home but I just don't know how realistic that is. I only clean her up one day a week and between that and cooking for them I'm exhausted!

My H and I continue to make progress. We continue to spend time together just the two of us. I'd like to see more action from him on the things I've told him I need from him. But I do see some baby steps.

I haven't felt well this week with allergies and severe headaches every day - which I know I get crabby so I distance myself so I don't take it out on others. We had an appointment this morning with a banker and afterwards we were standing outside talking. He said something to the fact that we don't really have to sell our vacation condo because we're not going through a divorce or anything. At least I'm not planning on a divorce...And then he looked at me for reassurance. I'll have to say it was a nice change of pace. Gives him a little taste...

Best wishes to you and everyone on the site for Happy Easter! I continue to keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers!
