No, my S12 got home too late, BUT, we worked w/S10 for an hour after the trainer did, spotting him... He's the gk for his club soccer team, and he's determined to learn to do a back flip off of the boards (when they enter the field), as he's seen the pro's do... S10 was working so hard, and we were dripping w/sweat from just spotting him!!! (You had to give him boosts sometimes, and bed support...)

Computer got hacked! (G, they took my email to you and posted something stupid to my alt page. It was kind of funny, though!) I spent the afternoon cleaning it, and resetting IP addresses, etc...
Almost had a meltdown over something STUPID! (G, THANK YOU again, for talking me off the cliff!!!)
H and boys bought a new soccer/football net... and, canNOT believe where this thing has been installed!!! (We live in an OLD house) We one of those OLD laundry rooms in the basement, and they cleaned it top to bottom, then painted the walls and floors (looks kind of cool in there now... I may enter!) and installed this new soccer/football net in there so S12 can shoot on S10 (goal keeper), and S12 can get in his 200 kicks a week (football kick-offs and punts). So, guess what I hear non-stop now??!?!?!?!? They kick, the frame/net moves, slams against the back wall...!!! CLUNK!!!! Oh, God, I LOVE IT!
NEXT, S10 has basketball practice. Calls after a few minutes, asking to get picked up. H goes to get him. S10 had asked the coach to actually do something w/them instead of talking to the other parents. (They've lost every game enough to turn off the scoreboard, and the coach won't let anyone help, but won't coach either... sits and txt's during the game!!!) Coach told him to do 100 push ups. S10 told him to stick it basically, and that no one would get better w/him txting all the time, and wasn't doing them. LEFT THE BUILDING - Calls us, etc... Now I wouldn't applaud, or even allow this, but the Coach is a COMPLETE jackas$! We told S10 he gets a pass on this one, but to discuss how to handles situations like that in the future.
So, now I'm cooking dinner.

Mindfull, I made the chicken chili...sooooo yummy! I didn't make the dumpling topping part though, since I wanted to keep it low fat and low cal. BUT PLEASE post more links to good recipes! I will too!
And where did your 10 year old get the nerve to tell his coach the truth like that? (I mean he IS right...but I was surprised that he was only 10! :-) )

WOW. I would be proud, yet scared too. definitely a good idea to talk with him on how to deal with authority. Can't believe the coach would be doing that. does he get paid?? Even our upward coaches are very involved with the kid's games, they might not always be the best coaches as they are volunteers, but very involved in helping the kids improve. Sounds like maybe the coach is having an MLC or A.

S10 is a treat! He's a bit of both H and I. I'm proud of him, but "had" to have the discussion re: respect for adults... Even though I thought he was right!

ST - The coach is a winner for sure. He's "just a Dad..." who is loving his power, but doesn't have a clue what to do with these boys. S10 just txt'd me (from school), and the club/travel team at his age is coached by a teacher from school, and needs a back-up for the rest of the season... (We didn't let him try out, as he plays club soccer 11 months a year! Can't do it ALL!) Here we go again!!!!!

Just did: Day 1 Week 2 - Couch to 5K - Using Podrunners Intervals
LOVE the music! This week is SO much harder! I felt totally taxed when I was done, and during the last two "runs"... Also, got a sideache on the last run. I was really good at the warm-up, though! It's 30 degrees outside, I was dressed in CoolMax leggings and one of those black Nike liner jackets w/a t-shirt underneath, plus gloves (no hat) and I'm sweating like you wouldn't believe!
Dinner was good last night!
H made a fire and we all watched American Idol, then they all played ping pong, and the boys went to bed. H offered to build up the fire and we could watch this other new show he/we enjoy... (Don't get excited, separate couches!) But, we got comfortable, quiet, watched the show, and fell asleep down there. I think he really enjoys that, after being on the road all week. It's always his idea...
Off to lunch w/one of my favorite, long-time friends today! Yea! Then, I HAVE to get my nails done! They're awful! Almost too long to type!
