John - were you surprised to see Russia lose to Slovakia in a shoot out yesterday? You are correct - anyone can beat anyone on any given day. Except Norway.

Antlers agree 100%...just having a little fun with Mike!

Kerry I have been watching hockey religiously for 40 years. Actually hockey is a religion in most of Canada. The Montreal Canadiens are like the Yankees or Manchester United or The Celtics...a storied franchise with 24 stanley cup banners hanging from the rafters of their arena. Therefore, if there is one sport I know about, it is hockey. The Slovakian goalie is Jaroslav Halak and he happens to play for Montreal. Apparently he stood on his head last night against the Russiansd. Am I surprised? Yes...a little, but it will not be the last surprise of the tourney.

Team USA playing in Canada's barn tonight!

I cant imagine the pressue of what the hopes and expectations of 35 million people can do to a team. And are they doubting themselves after the Swiss game?

Hey kerry,

It is still the round robin so I am not sure the pressure is as hig as a sudden eath game. Nonetheless it should be fun to watch. A loss for either team is not the end of the world. It will nonetheless be a very intense game,

I dont understand why NBC is showing the already finished Russia vs Czech Rep game while the USA vs Canada is going on. I like to watch these things live.

Arrrggh! Now the genius's at NBC feel that it is more important to show highlights from the 1980 Miracle on Ice.

Thanks John, but I am getting an error from there. I tried various others - I think my internet is too slow.

I believe the game is on MSNBC of which I dont get - I am a cheapskate and do not have cable or satellite since I dont watch much TV. Over the air free HDTV has been fine for me - until today.
