Just a suggestion...Don't stop at the curtains....paint a room. I read someplace that changing the colors in a room, even slightly, will usually have a positive impact on all people living in the house for 2-3 months. Something along the lines that the mind reacts positively to small changes in the environment....though I don't suggest a Goth color scheme. The other thing about it....it is cheap to paint a room other than some time invested.

Just because you live were it goes dark for three months doesn't mean black is a great color...LOL. Seriously....dark colors make rooms feel smaller and less friendly.

I have a bathroom that needs to have wallpaper stripped and be painted. (Yes, it has wallpaper. Don't ask, it's how it came with the house...)

That will probably be the next project after rearranging the bedroom and putting up curtains.

Oh, and I bought a rocking chair that was going to be a gift at some point; I may just end up putting it in my bedroom.

Trent I used to strip wallpaper and hang it with my wife, she had her own business. I can give you some advice well beyond the instructions on the bottle. Let me know.

Whoever hung this stuff was a sadist and used way too much wallpaper paste to hang it up. I spent the better part of an afternoon taking down one panel already!

I've used fabric softener, as well as heating it with an old iron.

Any suggestions you have would be appreciated.

My suggestions (to the sadist before you):

1. Never wallpaper.
2. If you must wallpaper, ALWAYS prime/seal/size the walls before you do. Or else you get this:

I hear Tim Allen...You need on of those high powered steam wall paper stripping machines....While you are at it you should buy yourself a big truck to move it around in....That's the ticket!
