She had the opportunity to accept a stable, non-contract position just last month WITH benefits and she chose the high paying contract job instead. Her choice to make but one that does not come without consequences. Her higher paying job won't be quite as attractive once she is shelling out a large portion of her take home pay to become self insured. This is a very good chance for her to see that you will not be her safety net when it suits her.
I would tell her you would be happy to put the children on your benefits package but that is it. Once again she is attempting to have the perks of marriage without being in the marriage.
