Funny becuase I was in virginia and had a silver honda...

looked just like that...except the deer didn't stick

I am lucky never to have hit one. They really jump out of no where and dont give a driver much warning. It seems that the eastern states have more deer, and thus, more deer related wrecks. Check this video out to get a good idea on how quick a deer accident can happen:

I almost smashed into a herd of open range cattle as I rounded a corner at night on a lonely highway in eastern Oregon. That would have left a mark. On that same drive, I ran over 3 jack rabbits in the time period of about 2 minutes.

Jack - have you ever had a close call with a Moose? I could not imagine what it would be like to hit one of those going 80 in a Honda Civic.

I don't know.....one of those early Civics( in the 70's ).....

I'm thinkin a moose could straddle one of those.


As long as one didn't have the luggage carrier option.

May not be as bad as one thinks....
