I didn't find your words harsh just great advice. Pulled me off the rollercoaster where I was climbimg and made me sit and watch it zoom by.....
That's what is great about this forum. You can always get great advice from LBS who have been through most scenarios on this journey. That saves me stepping into a puddle up to my neck and gasping for air!
