Yep - my dad was the same, jack of all trades. He had 4 daughters, no sons---so I worked with him around the house, and later at his place of business where I learned how to do electrical wiring. I've done all the the minor electrical work and plumbing (plus most of the other minor repairs) around my house....since I've had a house. H was handy around the house---but mostly liked to be outside, piddling, as I would say. We have access to acres of land around our house and he spent a lot of time (when I think of it---A LOT of time)working on a hiking trail and keeping it up....which of course is now overgrown and unusable---but was great when we could. I've had friends try to encourage me to start a business teaching other women how to fend for themselves around the house...........

I live just across the river in Missouri (North of KC)----hopefully not giving up too much here. How about you??
