Ok, lawyers are scum! My L showed up 2 minutes before the hearing, and said if my brother doesn't pay her more (he's paid her $5000 and X paid her $2500), she's going to turn in a crappy closing argument, which apparently is what the judge is going to use to decide the case. I asked her then to dismiss herself off the case, and she said she would then after this hearing if my brother doesn't pay her.
X in telling all the details about what a wonderful, involved father he is said he attended D10's 504 meeting, which guess what, he never told me about. I said that kind of thing is what makes me really concerned about his parenting (among others).
They said at the hearing we were divorced at the Dec. 7th hearing, although nothing was signed, and referred to me as the former wife, so I guess I've been divorced over 2 months and didn't know it!!!!
Glad not to be married to that scumbag anymore. Hoping I never have to deal with lawyers again!!!!!
The only comments the judge made is that he thinks a lot of our communication problems are b/c we both referred to the kids as "my son" or my daughter rather than our son and our daughter....Right....that'll solve everything!
