I say none but I ask you do you think he is getting you a card? You could help your girls get him something

Valentines Day tends to screw up the LBS big time.
And there is no reason for it, it is really just another day on your trip.

A card?
Of two minds here.

NO.

and...

It would be different if you did get a card. However, YOU should attach no significance to it if you decided too.
With that being said, should you get a card...do not do the romantic "I love you so much, you complete me" type of card. Instead something funny and light.

I am not going to get my H a card or anything. The kids are giving him something. It has never been a huge deal for us, though we have usually exchanged small gifts or gone out to dinner and I don't want to make an issue of it at all this year.

Lost,
I would assist your children in getting cards and/or a little something for your h. Nothing over the top.

As for you, I would purchase a card that had no mushy stuff on it and keep it in a drawer just in case he gets you one. You can't have any sentimental ties to the card or he will feel pressure.

It you want to hang out at home on Sunday, by all means do it. Why should you have to leave home just because it is Cupid's big day. If you can keep things light and simple, stay home.

my decision is ...

to help the girls make something thoughtful for him. i will have that silly card in a drawer...just in case. i am going to start marinating my london broil, put together my crab cakes so they are ready to go too...hmmm, what to make for a side dish?

even if he isnt around...card or no card...im gonna enjoy the biggest day for racing fans with my girls and some great food!

Now you are talking! This is what your journey is all about...doing for you and your children. I think we all will stop by, watch the race and sample some of that tasty sounding food.
