Control. If you're happy and looking cute, then clearly you don't need him all that much. You are moving on, and that isn't what H. expects. Maybe you won't just stick around in case R w/OW doesn't pan out. Maybe, just maybe, you'll go find yourself somebody new.
As for the sad & crying, it's cause you're being a good girl, sitting in the corner, waiting for daddy to come give you some attention.
