It's ok Kara, I understand the joys of working out if you're starting to see results. Although I am seriously lazy by nature, I am going back to my exercise class when I get back from the weekend's mystery trip and plan on going every day. I think I've hit the point where my desire to wear my skinny clothes has overcome my desire to sit on the sofa and stuff my face with junk food.

MF, I thought you were getting on the exercise bandwagon with those fancy walking shoes of yours! wink

I love it..it would look good here! Do you want to loan it to me ?

Pearl,

I love to sit on the sofa and stuff my face as much as the next girl but I finally decided it was time to get as fit as possible. I make this resolution every year but I am gonna try my best to be consistent with exercise this time. I love feeling more energized. That is the great part.

The joys of treadmilling--

Seriously, you guys don't feel better after working out? Notice I said "after"

The trick is getting to the gym.

I guess I'm lucky in that I like working out. Only thing that has kept me sane(relatively) thru this.

Keep it up, you will be so glad you did--you will feel tons better soon!

If you are in okay shape, try P90x. Very difficult, but you feel stronger by week 2! I can't explain it but if you are looking for something different from treadmill and lifting it's worth it.

avermont, youre totally right. The problem for me is starting the exercise. I was really good from when my sitch started in 11/08 until last October. Then I totally lost my drive. I was doing well again in December when I started my Pure Barre classes but once I stopped going I found I am back to having zero motivation to get moving. Once I start back with a Pure Barre class every day I will totally be motivated to keep it up. And yes, I do feel great when I'm done.

Ooh, is that a ballet type class?

I saw the infomercial for PwhateverX and it looked totally great.

I really like lifting and changing things up. I like moving--not just pounding around on a treadmill or stairmaster.

But--whatever it takes to get the endorphins going and sooth the amygdala, is my motto.

Get motivated, gals! You will be so hot! and healthy!

Hey, Halle - A DB'er on here named Robx told me about the P90x. From his pics in the alt he appears like he's in pretty decent shape. Sounds like a good program...

Rob, if you're reading this, don't get a big head!!! wink
