W called last night- went to VM- first VM she's left me in 5 months. Said she would be at the house in 30 min to see the dogs.
When she arrived- W- hey how r u? M- I'm great, how r u? W-OK W- dogs been OK M- yea, they're happy W- why are they happy? M- Why wouldn't they be?
Went outside for a cig- said she was showing all day, I asked questions, congratulated her...
M-so whan can you have your stuff out? W-end of the month. M-when do you want to go through everything and split it up? W-maybe next week.
W- so what's up w/ your Uncle? M- I really don't want to talk about it, it's not like we're even friends right now...(got up and went inside for water, then came back)
I started texting, my phone rang.
M- OK, it was nice to see you.
And I left.
Whole encounter was about 10 minutes. I felt great- I really didn't even want to see her at all...much less sit through negativity and awkward silence. I only really made eye contact when we were discussing the move and her horse show-
I have a feeling the friends comment could be misconstrued, but it was a truth dart in my eyes.
