This is a MYTH that has long since been exploded by Shirley Glass, Dr. Harley and others. Harley found in his research (and he admitted to being surprised) that a significant percentage (I think it was 20-25%?) of affairs were by people in HAPPY MARRIAGES -- no serious marital dysfunction.
Yes, LBSs are always encouraged to look at what they may have contributed to the marital problems, and to address them. But just know that sometimes, it's NOTHING, other than a modern sense of entitlement and selfishness.
