so anyway I am back from a fun-filled vacation spent in New Orleans & then Dallas. I managed to be gone for the Northeast blizzard and fortunately it didn't mess up my return travel too much.
The best part was that upon my return to PA I figured that I was going to have a ton of snow to clean off of my car in Allentown. I guess either someone else did it for me (though I am not thinking that's the case) or else the 6-7 inches of the white stuff that fell there a couple of days ago was so light and fluffy that the wind & sun managed to self-clean it for me as there wasn't even a flake on my car. Only 70 miles to the South of there in Philly they picked up almost three feet of snow. Very glad I chose to fly down there Wednesday AM rather than drive there and leave my car there.

yeah, that vacation seemed like it was a long time a' comin'.
It was pretty awesome being away for that long of a stretch and getting to explore some new places and all. Very fun indeed.
I only have to wait about another 4 weeks and I will get to have another mini-vacation (a few days anyway). Every year I have recurrent flight training to do. In past years it has always been in Memphis. This year however I will be in Wichita, KS for the first week of next month. But the training is only three days so the remainder of the week is pretty much vaca. (In actuality the whole thing is kinda like vacation since the training is kinda cake)
oh, and the wishes/prayers for a safe passage home worked out.
Got in my door last night/this AM between 12& 1 and got the expected treatment from my doggie upon entering. So spoiled she is. She is hardly used to being away from me for that long of a time. Guess she needs a K-9 buddy or something.

feeling kinda rotten cuz I can't seem to shake this cold I have had for the past like week or so.
My Co. called today while I was sleeping off my thera-flu concoction (fortunately I had already logged about 5 hrs of zzzzz) to tell me that they needed me to report an hr early due the the crappy weather on the way.
the skies are always peaceful ...earth not so much!!
