Stupid broken water heater, stupid Dan buying one without asking, stupid cancer killing my uncle, stupid me actually feeling somewhat surprised that Dan did agree to sign and return the papers, wtf? I have known for a while now that he was 'out', so it should not be a shock that he would sign if faced with a trial...Stupid MIL trying once again to put me in the middle. She even asked me if I thought my parents had talked to her dad??? Geez........

Oh and tonight is 'his' night on the calendar, but I will have the kids first since Nathan has allergy shots every Thursday and the place closes at 4. I emailed asking when/where I could meet him to exchange the kids and he replied "Later rather than sooner as I have to go get my dad's truck to go pick up the water heater".............ugh!
Sorry everything seems to be going awry right now. Also sorry about your uncle. You never know with that, a fighting spirit can at times prevail.
I think most people here hoped that things would turn at the last moment. After all don't we all deserve a "Hail Mary" pass to work out at least once in our lives? However you know that Dan needs some major overhauling and he has to hit rock bottom to see/feel that for himself. You have done what you could and now it is time to focus on you and the kids and being ok for now.

hey BBJ, I don't want to be right. I just read and the read and sometimes read between the lines. In your case, you never hid the fact that you did not want your marriage to end.....so today's event (he signed and apparently has a lawyer) hurts. I am sorry BBJ. We are not there with you but I do not remember reading anything that would lead me to believe that Dan did anything to intimate that he was going to try to make it work.. Ok there was that one week when he seemed to be coming around and then that infamous e-mail...
You will be ok BBJ....just detach (drop the rope)....get some space between you and Dan....this has gone on long enough...

Been crazy busy at work and haven't check in here on my buddies. I see you have been have a really bad couple of days and I'm so sorry. That is a load of crap on you all at one time girl. The only advice I can think of is to get away from the situation for a few hours and do something just for you. Did you go for that run? Go have a shoulder massage. Go sit in a bookstore and read magazines until your eyes cross. Anything that can take your mind away from it.
Oh, btw, I didn't mean to make it look like I though you were making light of my situation! Far from it. It's just my crazy, sarcastic nature that doesn't come across very well in text form. I get myself in more trouble that way.

No time for a run, we had another snowstorm yesterday and today, 5 more inches of snow! I had to take Nathan for allergy shots and wound up with the kids all night...
Dan had texted me early in the day that he found a water heater and would be bringing it to the house in the evening. Well, apparently he found it online at a Home Depot but when he went to the closest one they were out... He texted me later that he had to go get his truck and get the water heater so he wouldn't be at the house until later...then texted that he was sliding all over Omaha looking for one in stock.
I replied that he should just go home and I would handle buying one over the weekend, it was not his problem.
Then he showed up at 11:15 with a new water heater. I let him drop it in the garage but didn't let him in the house. So anyway I spent the whole evening snowbound with the kids.
We had a late start this morning, I almost hit several cars driving to school and even slid and got stuck in the school lot 3 times!! Geez!
Oh and I told him I needed the contact info for his atty so my atty could start communicating with him. Dan replied that it was "just a lawyer friend who offered to look at the paper work gratis, no big deal, for sanity's sake". Whatever, I never know if he is telling the truth...
OK other than that, hooray Friday! Bring on the weekend...and my uncle is still with us for now, at least...
