You guys are so easy... Oh, wait, are we talkin' the BIG Easy!

Jeff, no tourney... final as of yesterday am at 8am. I have tied up $218 flights for four of us. At least they let me get vouchers in return. I'm seriously pissed about it, too. I mean, seriously, we have known about this since August. If you ACCEPTED your spot on the team, and knew about this tourney, and couldn't afford it, how about fund-raising, xmas money, whatever... SERIOUSLY pissed about it. I'm the team manager, too. I gave four sets of parents a piece of my freakin' mind Monday night at training (in between crying over DALE's post to me).

I just had two glasses of Pinot. I'll be fine.

Actually, I'm MORE pissed because you can't believe how much I need sun. The MidWest sucks.

Pearl - Fried Alligator!!! Just had it for the first time about a month ago. Tastes like... chicken! Duh! Love the menu, though!

Well, now you have vouchers that you can use for your flight to New Orleans. smile

The only time I had fried gator was in NOLA and I don't recall it tasting like anything in particular so I'm assuming it will be like chicken.

Now that you've had the Pinot, time to check out the upgrade. wink

I wish I knew what was going on in this thread!

you gals are having way too much fun!

I will be at a Superbowl party, but there is a serious SuperScrabble game that goes on for those of us not all that interested in the game. Commercials and wardrobe malfunctions, yes. Regular game, not so much.

I think just pizza and pot luck on the menu, though.

I'm in on a New Orleans get-together too. this weekend is Superbowl, next weekend is Mardi Gras. I'm thinking of going for that. And a King Cake is a great idea for the Super Bowl party, Pearl. I might order one too. I'm planning to make red beans and rice with sausage. I really miss doberge cake from Gambino's too. So I might go with that instead!

After looking at ordering king cakes and delivery dates, I'm thinking I will either get a bakery here to make a coffee cake and frost it with purple, green and gold sugar, or I will make one myself with cinnamon rolls. When I lived in New Orleans, the Pampered Chef lady taught us to make a king cake on the big pizza stone using crescent roll dough and filling it with pie filling. Then baking it and decorating it. Everyone at that party thought it was good. So I may just buy a new pizza stone and do that.

I have a great crawfish etoufee recipe if anyone wants that. I'm able to buy frozen crawfish tails at Target. They may have it near you, too.
