Hey odog, first, don't beat yourself up, your human man! Accept that it's still a roller coaster, you have better days, and you'll have better days again.

Do not be afraid to stand up for what you believe and speak your mind. You have every right to have a say in this! Co-parenting here will be tough, no doubt, but it's about your child, not you or your Ex..

The dog mood is all over the place.

Black Bush beats Black Dog every time. As does Black Label. And Black-and-Tans. And Blackthorn Cider.

Today they laid off another employee and increased our insurance costs.

I'm thankful I have my job. Nonetheless I'm preparing my resume and portfolio.

The Dog visited a different counselor yesterday. He wasn't yer' typical PhD-with-a-yellow-legal-pad kinda guy. While the Dog had spent time on a psy's couch (yes, he's allowed on the furniture) he had never had such a gut wrenching experience. There was black bile from all the way back to days as pup. Hooooowwwwllll!

Dog felt strong guilt that he wasn't "there" enough for his pups. He was given reassurance. "Be there for yourself first. When you are there, your kids will know it, and feel it."

Damn. That makes a lot of sense!

You have to be there for yourself first. Otherwise nothing follows, nothing happens, nothing changes.

O'Dog's sire, Wolf Sr., heard enough of me talking about riding bikes and my idea of driving cross-country. He went out and bought himself a mid-sized cruiser. We're going to plan a road trip together this summer. Spend time together while we have it.
