I plan to go for sole custody. I don't know much about how that works, as it's my first time, and don't know too many divorced. With sole custody does that mean every other weekend he'd have him?

Custody rules and visitation vary greatly State by State. You're right you need a lawyer and the sooner the better. I would think that most States would be favorable to a petition for at least your temporary sole custody with supervised visitation for your H based soley on who he is keeping company with. Take whatever proof you have with you to the lawyer to justify your case and best of luck.
