I'd rather slip in a Viagara! (Need to ask a Dr. friend for one!)

Make sure you know which direction he's facing when you fire that bullet. You wouldn't want to miss the intended target!

Seriously, can you imagine?

He may end up with an as$ shaped like a shelf!

Glad to see that sense of humor falling back into place. Makes me feel better too.

MF, I can't believe this slipped my mind. Why don't you talk to the nutritionist about the anxiety? She may recommend St. John's Wort or something else that will work with your witch's brew. But if that doesn't work then do see your doctor. They will understand that you don't want to be on something indefinitely, just need help right now because you're in a stressful situation and your heart racing is not good for you.

Talking about wine reminded me of a couple stories. One NYE I drove down to Oregon to see my BFF. She had heard about a party in her small town with a band and we could get dressed up (which we love). Her sister dropped us off and we found ourselves in a room full of 40-60somethings--at the time we were 25. This wasn't entirely unexpected so we just started drinking wine and ate dinner and listed to the big band music. I guess we had a lot of wine because at the end of the night we spotted the table where all the unopened bottles were placed. We "casually" walked over and "sneaked" bottles under coats to take with us. I use quotes because I'm sure everyone in the room knew what we were doing and just laughed at the drunk girls.

Similar story at another friend's wedding. First time I brought BF to an event with college friends. My friends in Seattle were all HS/childhood friends so he'd never seen me with the drinking friends. At the reception all the college friends were seated together at the table in the corner, farthest away. I think there were two bottles on each table. Of course we went through ours pretty quickly so we asked the servers if there were any more in the back. They brought another one but that wasn't enough. So as people were getting up from their tables and mingling we started scavenging bottles off the other tables. Good thing BF and I had gotten a room in that hotel for the night! Unfortunately I was in no shape to enjoy the hot spring hot tub on the deck. wink

Ok, those are my drunk stories for the day. Honestly, I'm not much of a drinker!

And BTW, I do agree with starting with a bottle from the expensive corner. grin

Unsolicited advice "not intended to diagnose, treat or blah blah blah disclaimer".

Try Valerian, an herb that Valium was developed to mimic. Try Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5), the anti-stress vitamin, and Magnesium (mineral) - calming effect.

You may have heard me post this before (ad nauseam), but check out The UltraMind Solution book by Mark Hyman, M.D. You don't even have to buy it. Go to a book store or library and take the simple quizzes in the beginning of the book. The answers point to what amino acids you're deficient in. I did this and follow-up blood work confirmed the results of his quizzes. I now take four inexpensive amino acids (plus the above), have discontinued AD meds and feel great again (except when the old DB roller coaster takes its occasional plunge!).
fwiw.

why not talk to your naturopath about that, I'm sure there are lots of things that can help. and, if you want to know, I just watched something about how those kinds of meds don't work anymore than a placebo, which they said worked for 30% of the people.

why don't you also look at the stressors in your life and try to eliminate something...or relaxation is something of importance. you should do 20min every day. even just 10 min everyday could probably do a lot of good.

((mind)))
