Kara - It's really not me. It's the alcohol.

Did you see this, for an update....?

Tired, very tired today.

A little bit of courage this weekend. I let H see my sadness. It's the first time in a year that I haven't masked it. Anti-DB? Not sure if even appropriate anymore. H didn't say anything to me when he saw the sad face (in the kitchen while cooking dinner - thought I was alone), but came back in... in Mr. Personality mode - Hey! Dinner smells great! Hey! I just looked on the DVR, and these shows/movies are on! Hey! Hey! Hey!

F*ck your Hey! LoL

We watched some favorite tv together then, w/a fire going. Sons came and left as we were watching... Dog sound asleep touching someone at any given time. Sounds cozy, huh?

BTW, glad I can help! SniffSniff!

I saw it! I don't think it is anti anything to show your sadness in this case. You have been upbeat and positive for a very long time. It is not like you have been running around sobbing distraughtly all over him. What about coming out and having a convo with him? At the right time? I am always direct and a shoot from the hip kinda gal. Maybe too much so...

Kara -

This circles around to the paralyzed w/fear from a solid year of NO RELATIONSHIP TALK, etc... I am gaining courage to speak. (Shocking, eh?) Letting my emotions show is a start!

Good. You have started and are on your way. That counts for a lot.

Rome wasn't built in a day ( which is what I keep reminding myself.) How long exactly DID it take to build Rome? Does anyone know???

I thought you said you stopped crying... if so.. why is your face showing tears?

And yeah... I'm sounding gruff because my patience has been wearing thin lately. Nothing to do with you... ((( Mind )))

I have the funniest thing to post in Cutter's GAL thread today, but I have to ask permission from him first.

OMG MF!

I just read on Dale/CGU's thread that you have a FLW house! So jealous!! Now it makes sense that Susan St. James would come back to see it. Last time I was in Chicago I took a day trip to Oak Park so I could take the FLW tour. I fell in love with Arts & Crafts style when we got our first house, a 1914 bungalow. Now we have a 1924 colonial revival bungalow.

{I'm sorry I can't offer any real advice on your sitch. I just don't know that any of my experience would translate. So I try to just chime in in hopes of taking your mind off things.}

post it... You have permission to post what ever you want. When ever you want.

You are my friend. I have gone to battle with you at my side.

You will always remain my friend. Until the end of days.

But remember I am trying to keep that GAL thread to actual gal activities... so work it into a 180 or gal or something.

I am hoping that it will inspire some people to not give up hope for themselves.

Pearl... I sent you an email w/the link to the pics... before, during, and in process... I will take a bunch of done and decorated, and post there, as well!

I love it when people appreciate the history, and originality of the homes. Our neighborhood is ALL historical homes. Gorgeous! All built around 1900. There are a small handful, where people have ruined the "bones" and that pisses me off to no end! If you want a SHABBY CHIC house, go buy a new one and decorate it that way! Sheessh!

Thanks for the non-advice. I probably would just do my own thing anyways. LoL NOT I'm getting better...
