I hear the messages loud and clear. I fear for my wifes mental health, she has made reference to doing harm to herself,she says that will end the suffering. She blames me and our marital problems for her affair.I was not the perfect husband but it was her choice alone to choose an affair as a solution. I do believe that I should have exposed this affair months ago, I have just enabled it to continue. Thanks for the honest feedback........
She's threatening to harm herself? Par for the course and standard WAS script. If she threatens suicide, inform her family and authorities - to put her on a suicide watch.
Yup... I agree having been through it.. MWD's theories on infidelity only work for brief flings... for long term affairs once addiction sets in the DR approach does not work... the addiction must be fought head on... simply setting a good example and being a better person will not free anyone of an addiction... which is a shame since its a lot easier to implement than addiction-combating measures are to execute
I agree also. being a better person only gives you the base from which to start the battle!
