My cousin used "Thrift". It is lye based. Like I said it did take two treatments for the sink. You pour in 2 cups and let it sit an hour. On the sink the second time, I did it during the day when no one was home and then I flushed it with hot water after. I can't remember the name of what I bought but it comes as a liquid in a plastic bottle and then it is in a plastic bag. It cost about $8.00. Cheaper than a $40 plumber coming out to estimate.

Worth a shot. Oh and I got mine at Home Depot. The guy said it was the best they had and I had never tried it.

I've had the coughing thing 3 weeks already! It was bad, was almost over it and then back again with a vengeance. Not fun. Feeling better today but I think I will still go to bed early. At least the kids only have 2 more days of school since there are parent/teacher conferences on Thursday and Friday.

I did but I always could use more!! lol 2 years of sleep deprivation due to all the stress plus being sleep deprived just due to 4 kids for the previous 15 years has left with a huge deficit.

I got a yoga dvd and have a meditation one on it's way. I am hoping if I can still my mind, it won't wake me up going a 100 miles an hour! Any other suggestions not involving alcohol(since I don't drink it) are more than welcome. smile

Good to hear!

I keep my planner handy (used to also have a journal). When I can't stop thinking about things, it's usually cuz I'm worried about things I need to do or things I'm scared I'll forget, so if I get them on paper I don't have to keep them in my head anymore.

I can't remember if I've told you before, but I also take valerian root if I've been having trouble sleeping (a mild muscle relaxant) and kava kava root (a mild sedative).

I finally stopped taking something to help me sleep back in Oct/Nov. I needed some help for about 2 years. I took Melatonin or sometimes tylenol sleep time(or something like that). So it feels good to be able to sleep again.

Now I just get to coughing, then sneezing and then I need to get up for something to soothe my throat and then get back to sleep. By then my mind says oh you have been up a few minutes, must be time to get going! I just hope I can get rid of this crud for good very soon.

Oh that is a thought, but it does bring to mind my former father in law who takes a dose every night just for the alcohol!!

Last night I didn't sleep as well but I seem to be doing ok for right now. Tonight I am going to try and get to S14's school and talk to some of his teachers and then tomorrow is the girls. S17 was kind of funny this morning when I told him I had to get those done. He asked why don't I get Dad to go to some and I said well I am trying to be a good mom and get to all of them. He said you are a great Mom but you aren't God. It is ok to ask for help. From the mouthes of babes...
