Well, usually if I want someone to think I'm pissed at them and can't stand talking to them....I try acting like a class A butthole.

In fairness to you, I know that this juggling act can be a little tough to figure out. My experience though has been that it's usually best to reward good behavior and get the heck out of dodge when the bad behavior starts to fly.


Look, if your wife wants to have a conversation with you, and she's not in the throes of alien behavior, have a conversation. Leave the needy, clingy, "just wanted to say that I love you" stuff out of it. But have a conversation. And show what a winning guy you are. Show how well you are adjusting. Share what a great time you're having with the guys.


Avoiding relationship talks doesn't mean avoiding talking all together.


When you do that, well, you just come across as uncaring and uninterested.


I'm guesing that neither of those were attitudes you were trying to get across.
