You are contracting at one of the largest companies in the world AND you sat there for months knowing your contract would one day end AND there was a possibility you would not be asked back AND you never once thought to *find* the damn HR people or meet with an exec?

So today is your last day at ONE OF THE LARGEST COMPANIES in the world and now the opportunity to network with the decision making people/people of power there will be lost for good.

I hope you really think about that and what opportunities/networking/information/advice you missed out on. The day you made one liner after one liner about how miserable you are, how you are tired of this life, how you miss your kids and wife probably could have been better spent.

Honestly, reading what you just posted is so frustrating. Every time you have something right under your nose you let it pass right by yet you think you see something so far out of reach and that is what you pursue.

There is nothing you can do about it now but as worried as stressed as you were the moment you found out about your job loss (was that last week or 2 weeks ago?) you should have been networking your ass of at ONE OF THE BIGGEST COMPANIES IN THE WORLD.

What more did you want right in front of you? You know what is so odd to me? Your W smiles at you and you think "WOW, things are really going to get good now, a teeny smile is the first step". Yet for months you snugly sat in a cube with complete access and exposure to the inner workings of ONE OF THE BIGGEST COMPANIES IN THE WORLD and you never made one proactive move. It's very puzzling to me.
